War Child Records has unveiled its latest charity compilation, HELP(2), a star-studded collection of music from some of the biggest names in the industry. This album serves as a sequel to the original HELP compilation from 1995, aiming to support the global children's charity War Child UK. The album was recorded at Abbey Road Studios, with James Ford as the producer, and features a diverse range of artists who came together for a week-long recording session in November 2025. What makes HELP(2) particularly interesting is the inclusion of a live version of Oasis' 'Acquiesce', recorded during their recent reunion tour. This track is a special moment for the band, as they previously contributed an acoustic take on 'Fade Away' to the original HELP compilation. The album also features a companion film produced by creative director and filmmaker Jonathan Glazer, who gave children cameras to film the recording sessions without restrictions, resulting in a unique and powerful visual companion to the music. In my opinion, HELP(2) is a testament to the power of music to bring people together for a good cause. It's a must-listen for anyone who appreciates the impact of music on our lives and the world around us.
